The Pelham School District uses assessment data as a critical driver of continuous improvement and student success across all grade levels. Drawing on curriculum frameworks, educators routinely analyze a range of evidence—including formative checks for understanding, performance tasks, benchmark assessments, and state-level measures—to monitor progress and inform instruction. This data-driven approach supports the district’s commitment to evidence-based learning practices and competency-based education. Collaborative data cycles allow teachers to identify strengths, address learning gaps, personalize instruction, and refine interventions. In addition to required state assessments, students in grades K-2 are assessed using Acadience, and students K-8 are assessed using i-Ready. Pelham High School students participate in the College Board suite of assessments, including the PSAT.
