After the required courses of Physical Science, Chemistry, and Biology, (generally taken in that order) PHS Science focused students have the ability to choose from many different elective courses ranging from the Life Sciences to Physical. These choices can include our three AP classes: Biology, Environmental Science, and Chemistry. For students who are just interested in learning the different concepts and skills in new fields of science there are also many unleveled electives available as well. No matter the level students are given multiple chances to improve learning through formative assessments, and when the summative assessment is given students are still able to revise the learn from their errors and try again.

Through the use of hands-on and virtual labs, reading, discussions, and projects the PHS Science Department prepares students with the skills and knowledge essential to interpret, predict, analyze, and interact with the natural world and the various groups within it.
