Mission of the Department

Our mission is to ensure that the students of Pelham Elementary School are given the resources to deal with psychological and emotional issues effectively so that they are able to better concentrate on their school work and maximize their learning potential.

School Counselors: Ms. Shannon Prouty, Mrs. Chelsey Grant, and Ms. Stephanie Lee

Mrs. Prouty, Mrs. Grant and Ms. Lee meet with students individually and in small groups to address students' needs. Topics may include self-regulation, anxiety, bereavement, and making & keeping friends, just to name a few.

Ms. Lee received her B.S. in Human Services and a minor in Family Studies from Granite State College, in New Hampshire. She also received her M.S. in Leadership with a focus on non-profit studies from Granite State College. She has spent the entirety of her professional career working with children and families. She lives in Dunbarton with her husband and two sons.

Mrs. Prouty received her B.S. in Human Services from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She earned her MEd in Counseling from Boston University. Additionally, Mr.s Prouty has been studying ways to help children manage anxiety. She lives in Salem with her husband, daughter and her dog, Biscuit Love.

Mrs. Grant received her B.A. in Psychology and a minor in English from University of Massachusetts in Lowell, MA. She earned her MEd in School Counseling from Salem State University. She lives in Londonderry with her husband and son, JV.
