PHS English Department

 

After a common foundation of Intro to Writing, Freshman English, and Sophomore English, PHS English scholars have the opportunity to enroll in an exceptionally diverse set of electives ranging from Film Analysis, American and World Literature, Oral Communications, Media Literacy, and much more! The PHS English department emphasizes the writing process with ongoing, formative feedback. Students also have multiple opportunities to revise and share their work. 

 

Through the study of literature, film, and culture, the PHS English Department prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and habits essential to succeed in a diverse, inclusive, and interconnected world.
