School Messenger Alerts

The Pelham School District uses a notification system called SchoolMessenger. SchoolMessenger is a notification platform used to connect parents, students and staff through voice, SMS text, and e-mail. We use the notification system for district and building specific announcements, inclement weather and other emergency situations that may arise during school hours.

Student contact information is collected from parents/guardians during registration and imported into PowerSchool.
If your contact information has changed after the registration process, you will need to contact your building secretary to have this information updated.

In order to receive an SMS text, the “opt-in” process must be completed on each cell phone you would like to receive SMS text message. Text messaging for the time being will be used for emergency messages only.

How to “opt-in” and receive SMS text notifications:
Parents/guardians/students/staff can subscribe by texting "Yes" or "Optin" or Opt In” to 68453. The cell phone numbers used must be in PowerSchool to receive a notification.

Parents/guardians/students/staff can unsubscribe at any time by texting "STOP" to 68453. If you would like to add a new cell phone number to your contact information in PowerSchool, please contact your building secretary.

Once a year we will send an automated message reminding parents to opt-in to SMS text messages. The message will state:
“Pelham School District text messages. Reply Y for aprx 3 msgs/mo. Txt HELP 4 info. Msg&data rates may apply. See schoolmessenger.com/tm
