Enrollment Projections

In 2004, the Pelham School Board commissioned NESDEC (New England School Development Council) to perform a study of student enrollment projections in the Pelham School District.

This study projected a substantial upward trend in student enrollment in the Town of Pelham for all grades.

The projections were updated in 2005.

And in 2006, the Pelham School District also commissioned a second study by the NHSBA (New Hampshire School Boards Association) to confirm student enrollment projections in the Pelham School District.

This study confirmed the student enrollment increases projected by the earlier report.

In summary, student enrollment is projected to increase by about 20% (442 students) in the next 10 years throughout all grades:

16% at Pelham Elementary School

27% at Pelham Memorial School

20% at Pelham High School  

 

Four School Model  

Each of the existing schools is functioning at, or above, their capacities: 

Therefore, the most cost-effective solution is a Four School concept:
